A follow up comprehension activity linked in with English followed. Math - Students began looking at angles and used different problem solving methods in mathematics to figure out solutions. Modified activities will be provided for ESL students and others who need extra support in division, fractions and percentages. Here is a look at what we plan to cover next week: UOI - Grade 6 will start to brainstorm and implement behaviour management strategies for other primary classrooms. They will work in groups to come up with different ideas to help their younger peers deal with conflicting situations. Students will also research different organisations that promote peace. English - As students finish their cautionary tales, students will be reading a short biography of author, John Marsden. Students will then create a fact file of this author. This will lead into their next UOI/English assessment on creating a biography of someone who has helped resolve conflict. Math - Students will continue looking at angles and geometry and will use their spatial awareness skills and problem solving skills to figure out complex problems in geometry.
